1. Sailing with an Asymmetrical Spinnaker

A four hour classes in which we will take out one of our sailboats and teach you how to set up a cruising spinnaker. In the class you will rig the spinnaker, and learn how to gybe, furl and unfurl as well as the different methods of setting the spinnaker.

Cost: $350 for 4 people for 4 hours

2. Basic Boat Maintenance

A four hour class which takes place completely at the dock on one of our sailboats in which you will learn the following:

• Basic diesel maintenance - changing the oil, alternator, starter motor, checking filters and what to look for when the engine won't start

• Setting up a battery bank and maintaining energy savings while sailing - basic electrics on a sailboat

• How a sailboat is plumbed and how to fix and replace a marine head

• Tips in provisioning for a longer trip as well as alcohol and propane stove safety

• How to completely refinish and maintain the bright work and fiberglass

• How to remove your sails and put them back up again, also how to climb the mast for mast maintenance.

Cost: $250 for 2 people for 4 hours

3. Tuning your rigging

Always wondered how much tension to put on those shrouds and how to balance them? In our 4 hour hands on course, we'll take one of our sailboats undo the rigging and you will be taught how to tune it correctly. Includes a quick sail into the Gulf as you cannot tune a rig completely until she's under wind stress.

Cost: $350 for 4 people for 4 hours

4. Sailing a Ketch (2 masted sailboat)

Ketch sailboats are very popular with cruisers and have several more sailing options. We offer a 4 and 8 hour ketch specific sailing classes on our Morgan 41 Ketch. This lesson is for persons who have completed our beginners class, or who already have some sailing experience.

Cost: $450 for 4 people for 4 hours - $625 for 4 people for 8 hours
